Health Care

£1.50 a week would barely buy you a few newspapers - which makes it all the more remarkable that such a small sum brings everyone who pays it all the benefits of belonging to a progressive organisation like Benenden Healthcare.

If you're currently in the civil service, or you're an ex-civil servant, you'll be able to use a wide range of discretionary medical, surgical and advisory and other healthcare services, either to get help with maintaining a healthy lifestyle or to get fast-track access to diagnosis and treatment.

First class healthcare services for Civil Servants

And you don't have to worry about hidden charges or unexpected bills because that's not how Benenden Healthcare works. Some discretionary healthcare services are available immediately, some after six months membership - but we aim to get you the help you need just when you need it most, including:

  • Access any time you like - 24 hours a day - to a confidential consultation with a UK-registered doctor via our 24/7 GP Advice Line. And that access is available to you wherever you are in the world
  • Help with the stresses and strains of work or your personal life through our 24/7 Stress Counselling Helpline. Trained counsellors can help you to learn to handle the emotional pressures and put your mind at rest
  • Peace of mind when treatment is needed with access to carefully selected hospitals which maintain the highest standards of care
  • Prompt access to help when you need it most - we provide up to £300 to cover the cost of immediate physiotherapy treatment, once you've been referred by your GP or Consultant.

Family and friends can join too

Remember, your family and friends of Civil Service employees can also join Benenden Healthcare through you. And like you, they only pay £1.50 per person per week. Find out more about adding friends and family.
