24/7 GP advice line

Medical advice, information and reassurance from qualified UK GPs any time - day or night

Sometimes you have to wait days to see your doctor - but with our 24/7 GP Advice Line, you're guaranteed to get the complete attention and medical advice of qualified UK-based GPs quickly, whenever you need it. And because they're fully qualified, they have the power to recommend a course of action - a service some other medical advice help lines can't provide.

Our teams of practising UK GPs are ready and waiting to speak to you by phone about any health or medical issues you or your family may have. You can call from wherever you are in the world - all in complete confidence and at a time which suits you, which means that you don’t need to worry about fitting in an appointment around your busy lifestyle.

Subjects you can ask medical advice about include:

  • Aches or pains that won't go away
  • Side-effects of any medicines you're taking
  • The after-effects of surgery
  • Explanations of a medical diagnosis you've had or treatment you've been offered
  • Vaccinations you need when travelling abroad
  • Health precautions based on your medical history.

You can access the 24/7 GP Advice Line immediately when you become a member.

The 24/7 GP Advice Line is a call-back service – you can specify a convenient time slot when you call the service and a doctor will call you back within your 15 minute slot.

Please have your membership number with you when you call.

Within the UK, dial 0845 050 5247.*

* If you're abroad, dial +44 845 050 5247.

The doctors who speak to you are not allowed to make medical referrals or provide prescriptions and will advise you to see your own GP should those services be needed.
