BMI St Edmunds Hospital at Bury St Edmunds


The Bury St Edmunds Nuffield Hospital was established in 1981. Situated in extensive, landscaped grounds of over four acres in St Mary’s Square close to Bury St Edmunds town centre. The hospital has been regularly extended and improved since 1981 and now has 40 beds and two operating theatres. The hospital has been treating Society members since 1992.
 
 

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital

 
The Exeter Nuffield Hospital is situated one mile east of Exeter city centre. Patients are accommodated in 46 single rooms all with nurse call system and colour TV. All inpatient rooms are single with en suite facilities.
 
 
 

Fairfield Independent Hospital - St Helens


Fairfield Independent Hospital - St Helens, a registered charity, is strategically located between Liverpool and Manchester. We have been referring our members to the 33 bed Fairfield Hospital since 1990.

Fairfield has won the British Safety Council Silver Sword of Honour and holds 5 star Health & Safety Award. Their Quality of Care is supported by both ISO9002 and Investors in People Accreditation.
 
 

Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital


The Glasgow Nuffield Hospital was founded in 1973, built from funds raised by the local community. Nuffield Hospitals are non-profit making. Today it is a modern well-equipped hospital with 33 patient beds and over 200 staff.  Glasgow has been treating the Society’s members since 2000.

The hospital is located 2.5 miles out of Glasgow city centre in one of the pleasant residential suburbs to the northwest.
 
 

West Midlands Hospital, Halesowen

 
In operation since 1988, West Midlands Hospital is one of the region’s leading private hospitals and set in 3.5 acres of grounds ten miles from Birmingham City Centre.

The hospital specialises in gynaecology, EN, ophthalmology, paediatric surgery (from three years), general surgery, urology and orthopaedics.
Extensive diagnostic and treatment facilities are on hand including a state-of-the-art x-ray department offering a comprehensive range of screening and X-ray procedures such as ultrasound, mammography screening, MRI, CT and DXA Scanning.

A high dependency room is provided and facilities provided for parents wishing to stay with their children.

The 34 private en-suite rooms have Sky TV, radio and direct dial telephones and freshly prepared meals are served straight to the rooms.
 

The Claremont Hospital

Located in beautiful landscaped gardens, three miles west of Sheffield city centre, patients can enjoy a peaceful stay and panoramic views over Sheffield's skyline. With £6 million recently invested in the hospital, facilities include three operating theatres, scanning facilities, laboratory and newly refurbished bedrooms.
 
 

North West Independent Hospital - Ballykelly

Located thirteen miles from Londonderry city centre, the hospital is set in tree-lined grounds in peaceful rural surroundings. The distinctive and historic building of Church Hill House was modernised and extended before opening as the hospital in 1989. There are 36 beds, most of them in single rooms. Each single room has an en-suite bathroom, a colour television, a radio and direct-dial telephone.
 
 
 

Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital 


The Plymouth Nuffield Hospital is located to the north of Plymouth city centre, close to Plymouth airport.  The hospital has 41 beds and provides a comprehensive range of health care services, in a pleasant and modern environment.
 
 
 

Nuffield Health Hospital - Newcastle-upon-Tyne

With effect from October 1st 2008, Nuffield Health Hospital in Newcastle-upon-Tyne is Benenden's regional treatment centre.
Nuffield Health Hospital Newcastle-upon-Tyne is a 40 bed facility located close to Newcastle train station.  Patients are cared for in private rooms, all are equipment with ensuite facilities, have access to a phone and TV, and can purchase newspapers.
 
 
 

Sancta Maria Hospital - Swansea


Sancta Maria Hospital is set in grounds of one and a half acres with many rooms offering extensive views over Swansea Bay. All rooms have modern furnishings, remote control television, direct dial telephone and nurse call system.  The hospital now has 33 beds and has been treating members since 1990.
 
 
 

Winfield Hospital - Gloucester


Winfield Hospital is a leading private hospital located on the northern outskirts of Gloucester. It has two fully equipped main operating theatre suites and one day theatre with endoscopy facilities. There are 47 beds, 33 of which are single rooms. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities to ensure complete privacy.

Benenden Healthcare membership is initially only available for current or former employees of the Post Office, Civil Service, BT, registered charities, public sector bodies and other approved organisations whose aims and objectives are deemed compatible with those of the Society. Some services have a six month qualifying period.

The Benenden Healthcare Society Limited is an incorporated friendly society, registered under the Friendly Societies Act 1992, registered number 480F. The Society’s contractual business (the provision of tuberculosis benefit) is authorised by the FSA. The remainder of the Society’s business is undertaken on a discretionary basis.
