Make sure your child is getting the nutrients they need with these pre-planned menus from the School Food Trust.
Every parent wants to make sure their child is eating well and getting the food they need to grow healthy and strong. School caterers now have to follow strict guidelines to make sure that canteen lunches meet key nutritional standards. It means that school lunches are, overall, the healthier choice. But many schools have also introduced a packed lunch policy - which can leave some parents feeling baffled.
To help mums and dads create the perfectly balanced lunchbox, the School Food Trust has developed three separate menu planners for primary school children. The recipes have been specially designed to meet the same nutritional standards as the lunches served in the school canteen - so they can take a bit more time and effort.
