Health Care

Nobody knows the benefits of a good healthcare system like you. But you're also in the best position to appreciate the great demands that are made of that system - which can't always cope.

Benenden Healthcare membership enhances and supports NHS care, fast-tracking your treatment, where possible, and relieving the pressure on the NHS. It's a modern approach from an up-to-date organisation which acknowledges the demands of life today.

Whatever position you hold in the NHS - or previously held if you've moved on - you can receive a helping hand to manage your health for only £1.50 per week. Consultant or trainee nurse, the cost is exactly the same for everyone, with no hidden extras or unexpected charges.

Access to affordable discretionary healthcare services

Keeping that cost low is our aim, and we're proud to achieve it - especially given the very wide range of advisory lines and surgical treatments that we are able to provide just when they're needed most. Here are just some of them:

  • Speed is of the essence when you need treatment or surgery, and with access to a range of private and NHS hospitals specifically chosen for their high levels of infection control and hygiene standards, we can provide healthcare of the highest standards rapidly
  • The NHS Helpline is a great service, but it can't provide access to a GP at a time to suit you. That's where our 24/7 GP Advice Line comes into its own: it allows you to have a detailed telephone consultation any time, day or night, from anywhere in the world, to get advice and have all your questions answered
  • You know you should look after yourself - but that's easier said than done. To help you take a proactive line on your own wellbeing, we have a range of preventative and responsive healthcare advice services. You'll also be able to access our members-only website, review seasonal health advice and read our latest health and lifestyle magazine
  • Want to take more control of your health and lifestyle? Let our Health Concern Advice Line point you in the right direction on matters such as women's health, travel advice, giving up smoking and weight management.

Share your healthcare with family and friends

Remember, your family and friends can also join through you. And they only pay £1.50 per person per week.
