How to join Benenden Healthcare

If you wish to join Benenden Healthcare Society today there are a number of options available to you when purchasing personal healthcare.

Choose your payment method

• You have the choice to pay by Direct Debit – this is quick and easy to set up and you have a choice of payment frequencies: monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Or, you can pay by deduction from salary or pension. Please ensure that your organisation accepts this method of payment by viewing our the list of organisations who currently accept this method of payment (pdf).

Choose your method of application

• If you wish to pay by Direct Debit then you can apply:
  1. Online – our online application form takes just minutes to complete and is available 24/7 for your convenience. If you apply online you’ll have the opportunity to commence and save an application. Your partially completed application will be stored online for up to 7 days – enabling you to return to complete your application at a time that’s convenient to you. The first stage of the online application form is available on every page of the personal healthcare website – please see the right hand side of the screen.
  2. Over the phone – you can call our friendly advisors 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). Telephone details are provided to the right hand side of this screen.
  3. By downloading and completing a Direct Debit application form (pdf).
• If you wish to pay be deduction from source (salary or pension) then you’ll need to download and complete a salary application form (pdf).

Choose who you add to your membership

Regardless of which application and payment method you choose, you will always have the opportunity of adding family and friends to your healthcare membership at the time of applying.

Collect the information you need to apply

If you want to join today you’ll need to have the following details at the ready:

• Your personal details (your name, date of birth, address, telephone number and National Insurance number)
• Your family/friends' personal details (their names, dates of birth, addresses and telephone numbers)
• Your bank details (sort code and account number)
• Details of the eligible organisation you work for / have worked for.

If you change your mind

Once you have joined Benenden Healthcare, if you change your mind and decide you do not wish to be a member, let us know within 14 days of receipt of your membership pack and we will cancel your membership immediately and return any payments you've already made.

After the 14-day cooling off period, you can cancel your membership at any time, but any payments made will not be refunded.
