The independent hospital, Benenden Hospital, based in Kent and a subsidiary of the Benenden Healthcare Society Limited, will feature on the popular Channel Four programme, Embarrassing Bodies.

Back in December of 2009, Maverick TV, the makers of Channel Four’s Embarrassing Bodies program, filmed in the paediatric ward and theatre at Benenden Hospital.

The report centres on a young boy ‘Kaelen’ who’s continuing health issue remained unsolved until experts at Benenden Hospital were able to diagnose the problem. Consultant Anouk Van der Avoir and staff at the Hospital are featured during the consultation and also during surgery.

You can see the results of the paediatrics team work on Channel Four, 7 May at 9pm. The episode will also then feature on the programme’s website.
