Benenden Healthcare is continually investing in the future of UK healthcare. As a mutual and friendly society, our income is ploughed back into the provision of first class healthcare for our members.
We take the future of UK healthcare very seriously. In 2009, Benenden Healthcare delivered over £51 million of healthcare services to our UK members. This commitment continues into and beyond 2010, despite the current recession. In the existing economic climate we’ve already delivered enhancements to our healthcare treatment services, expanded the range of services available from our flagship hospital and have extended our UK hospital network in line with our assertive five year business plan.
We operate a cost efficient business model that allows our members to get the healthcare they need, when they need it most. We do this by operating on a referral basis from UK GPs, so that any member that needs treatment or diagnosis has the opportunity to request health services from Benenden Healthcare and experience reduced waiting times.
In working to support the NHS, Benenden Healthcare members get the best of both worlds, by enjoying the privilege of discretionary health services and experiencing reduced waiting times of 8 weeks for treatment.
Benenden Healthcare is keen to work alongside the NHS to drive a vision of UK healthcare which is adaptive to meet the changing health needs of our society. Our ambitions to become a leading UK health and wellbeing provider has led us to take a proactive role in promoting a focus on health and wellbeing – encouraging our members and wider society to proactively take control of their health and manage their conditions efficiently which could, ultimately, result in cost savings for UK healthcare providers.
